Step 1) Enter Silver Price: At the top of the calculator, locate the field labeled “Silver Price Today.” Input the current market price for silver if it isn't already filled in.

Step 2) Choose Measurement Unit: Select your preferred measurement unit (grams, dwt, or troy oz) from the dropdown menu next to "Measurement."

Step 3) Enter Quantity: In the left column, input the amount of silver you have for each category (e.g., 800, coin, sterling, fine) in the fields corresponding to each type.

Step 4) View Your Silver Prices: The calculator will automatically populate the “Dealer’s Buying Guide” on the right side of the screen, which includes:

  • Total Weight: The combined weight of all silver entered.

  • Estimated Fine Silver Content: The pure silver content based on the entered purity.

  • Estimated Payable Silver Content: The silver content after refining deductions.

  • Estimated Payable $ per Unit: The value per unit, based on your entries.

Step 5) Set Target Profitability: Adjust the “Target Profitability” slider to set your desired profit margin on a retail purchase. The calculator will update the suggested purchase price accordingly. Results include:

  • Total Estimated Settlement: Displays the total settlement value at the bottom.

  • Price Breakdown: Shows the price per dwt, gram, and troy ounce on the right.

  • Target Purchase Price: Indicates the amount you may pay for the silver, based on your desired profit margin.

Estimated Profit: Provides an estimated profit based on your inputs and selected profitability target.
